Agile Software Solutions launched in 2021 with a portfolio focused on identity, biometrics, and vehicle-tracking. In 2024 we refocused on AI-first vertical SaaS. This page documents what came before — what each product was, why it was retired, and which of its useful pieces seeded the current portfolio.
We think a company's history is worth naming, not hiding. If you're here because you remember one of these products — a partner from the early days, an old customer, a recruiter checking our story — this page tells you what happened. If you're here as part of due diligence, this page tells you we're the kind of company that documents its pivots instead of pretending they didn't happen.
None of the six products below is for sale, in active development, or accepting new customers. Two of them (Whois and AgileTraffic) contributed capabilities that live on inside current products. The other four are fully retired.
Identity Data Management
A document-and-record management platform for identity verification workflows — onboarding, enrollment, credential lifecycle management for federal and commercial customers. Certifications concentrated in digital imaging and digital identity.
Disposition: Retired 2024. No successor product. The market moved toward integrated identity platforms (Auth0, Okta, cloud IdPs) that a small team can't compete with.
Face-recognition access control
A physical access control system using face recognition — cameras at doors, matching against an enrolled employee database, log every entry. Deployed at commercial sites for access-gate automation.
Disposition: Sunset 2024. Hardware costs and competitive obsolescence made it unviable as a standalone product. Reusable code modules — particularly the operator-identification pipeline — are being absorbed into AgileService's crew-management functionality.
Face-recognition SDK
A face-recognition software development kit intended for embedding in third-party applications. Shared underlying technology with Whois.
Disposition: Retired 2024 alongside Whois. Face-recognition as a component library was overtaken by cloud vision APIs and purpose-built commercial SDKs. No active successor.
Know Your Customer verification
A KYC verification workflow platform for regulated commercial customers — document capture, identity match, sanctions and watchlist screening, audit trail.
Disposition: Retired 2024. The KYC market consolidated around dedicated compliance-tech vendors (Jumio, Onfido, Persona) with regulatory relationships a small team can't match. No successor product.
Customer queue management
A queue-management platform for high-volume customer environments — airports, service desks, government offices. Roots in the founder's operational work at American Eagle Airlines. Software for the workflow patterns she'd designed by hand.
Disposition: Retired 2024. The market moved toward vertical-specific customer-experience platforms (Qmatic, Wavetec) with hardware integrations we didn't pursue. No successor product.
AI-based vehicle classification and axle counting
A computer-vision system for classifying vehicles (car, truck, semi, bus) and counting axles from camera feeds at intersections, tollways, and industrial sites. Model was complete but never deployed as a standalone product.
Disposition: Not retired — repositioned. The AI vehicle-classification and axle-counting model is being bundled as a premium "Vehicle Intake" module for AgileWeight, where it fits naturally against the existing truck-scale workflow (identify vehicle type at the gate, drive to the scale, weigh, print ticket). Standalone AgileTraffic will not return.
None of the six products above is receiving updates or new deployments. We'll respond within one business day and — where it's honest to do so — recommend a specific successor product from the current market, not a forced migration to our current portfolio.
We don't upsell old customers into AgileWeight, AgileService, or AgileAI unless there's a real fit. AgileWeight is for industrial truck-scale operators. AgileService is for US home-renovation contractors. AgileAI is a consulting practice for organizations building their own AI-first delivery. If you were running AgileKYC, AgileWeight isn't the answer — and we'll say so.
By 2024 the market had moved. Frontier LLMs made it possible for a small team to ship production AI features in vertical software at a pace that made the legacy identity-and- biometrics portfolio look like the wrong bet. Every retired product above was competing against well-funded incumbents (Auth0, Okta, Jumio, Onfido, Qmatic) whose scale we couldn't match.
AI-first vertical SaaS in underserved markets is different. Established competitors move slowly. Non-English-first markets are neglected. The technical craft of building production AI systems — evals, retrieval architecture, agentic workflows, safety guardrails — is a real differentiator against incumbents who bolt AI onto legacy products. Refocusing on this space was the strategic decision. The six products above are the honest record of what we set aside to do it.
